Sacred Ceremony

An Act of Worship

Sacred Ceremony is the sacramental worship of this church. It is not a treatment, a program, or an experience we sell.

What Sacred Ceremony Is

Communion, held in prayer

Our sincerely held religious beliefs include the reverent, sacramental use of entheogens as an act of worship and communion with God. Ceremony is where this church receives that sacrament together, in prayer, held by ordained clergy.

It is a religious practice. It is not medical treatment, therapy, counseling, or recreation, and we make no medical, psychological, or therapeutic claim about it.

The sacrament opens a door. God does the rest.

We do not heal anyone and we do not save anyone. We walk beside people. Sometimes we carry them. Sometimes we help them reach a door they are afraid to open. What happens on the other side belongs to them and to God.

Who May Come

Every member is known before they come to the sacrament

Participation in Sacred Ceremony is limited to members of this church in good standing, and membership alone does not admit anyone to sacrament.

Before a member approaches ceremony, they sit with ordained Stewards. They tell the truth about their health, their history, and what they are carrying. They prepare in prayer. Stewards discern readiness, and some are asked to wait until the time is right. Some are asked not to come at all.

That discernment belongs to the Stewards, and it is made prayerfully, every time.

Ceremony is not something a member selects. It is something a member is called to and prepared for, and the Stewards discern when that time has come.

The Path

How a member comes to ceremony

  1. Covenant membership

A member reviews and affirms the Church Constitution, Statement of Faith, and Guiding Precepts, and enters into the Member Agreement. This is a religious association, not a purchase.

  2. Pastoral discernment

Conversation with ordained Stewards. Honest disclosure of health, history, and medications through our Sacred Health & Spiritual Readiness Disclosure. Stewards decide, prayerfully, whether the time is right.

  3. Preparation

Prayer, teaching, and the setting of intention. A member who is admitted also executes the Ceremony Consent, which sets out the risks in full and plainly.

  4. Sacred Ceremony

A small, private gathering held by ordained Stewards who hold sacred space and keep a safe container from beginning to end. The weekend is built out of prayer, silence, stillness, teaching, and the sacrament received together.

  5. Integration

Ceremony is the beginning, not the end. What follows is prayer, fellowship, journaling, and accountability inside the Sacred Circle — and it continues for as long as a member walks with us.

Sacred Care

How this church holds a ceremony

Reverence is not the opposite of rigor. The care we take is part of the worship.

  • Ordained clergy onlyCeremony is held by Stewards of this church who have walked this road themselves. No outside facilitators.
  • Small and privateGatherings are intentionally small, in a private setting, never open to the public.
  • A Steward of the WatchOne Steward is designated to the Watch for every ceremony and does not receive the sacrament. The Watch is held by one person for the whole of it, keeping the ceremony space and the grounds under continuous watch and ready in the event of an emergency.
  • Written protocolsThis church maintains a written emergency and adverse-event protocol, and our Stewards are trained to it.
  • Confidentiality among membersNo photography, no recording, and no sharing of another member's experience without their express consent.
  • Integration, not dischargeIntegration begins before a member leaves and continues in the Fellowship afterward — in the Sacred Circle, in prayer, and in ongoing contact with the Stewards who held the ceremony.

Plainly Stated

What we do not do

We do not diagnose. We do not treat. We do not prescribe, and we do not tell anyone to begin, stop, change, or delay any medical or psychiatric care. Those decisions belong between a person and a qualified healthcare provider.

We do not promise outcomes. No one can tell you what God will say to you, and anyone who claims they can should be treated with suspicion.

When our Stewards use the word healing, they mean what the Church has always meant by it — reconnection with God. Only God heals. Not a church, not a Steward, not a compound. Prayer, silence, service, the mountain, the ocean, a congregation on a Sunday morning are all roads toward Him. The sacrament is ours, and it is a tool rather than a destination. Our Statement of Faith says so in full.

We do not sell sacrament, ceremony slots, or spiritual results. Contributions support the religious and charitable operations of this church.

If You Are Called

Start with a conversation, not a form

The first step is not a booking. It is a talk with a Steward about where you are and what you are carrying — and an honest answer about whether this is the right season for you.

Sacred Warrior Fellowship is a church called to remind our nation's heroes — and all those who answer — that God does not make imperfect things.
