Psychedelic churches are growing in the US despite legal questions
A news crew came to Fort Pierce, spent time with our Fellowship, and spoke with Suzi Buckley, Theresa Noach, and a retired firefighter-paramedic named Brice Broyles about what brought him here.
We are grateful this crew came, watched, and reported honestly. We did not write the headline and we would not have chosen it. Coverage of churches like ours tends to lead with the substance rather than the faith. We link it anyway, because we would rather you watch and decide for yourself than take our word for anything.
Two things we would say differently.
This church did not evolve out of a retreat business. It began on a mattress on a floor in Mexico on the night of 21 May 2021, when God met our founder on his knees and told him He does not make imperfect things. Everything after that followed from it. Sacred Warrior Fellowship was formed so that others could find a door to the same encounter.
And when we say healing, we mean what the Church has always meant by it — reconnection with God. Only God heals. Not a church, not a Steward, not a sacrament. The sacrament is a door. It is not the destination. Our Statement of Faith says so in full.
One correction: Theresa Noach’s title in this church is Priestess of Ceremony.
Changing hearts and minds is part of this ministry. This story is part of that work.

Encounters With God Confer Lasting Benefits, Johns Hopkins Finds
Peer-reviewed research published in PLOS One found that profound personal encounters with God or “ultimate reality” — whether they arrived spontaneously or through a psychedelic experience — produced comparable, lasting improvements in wellbeing. More than two-thirds of self-identified atheists in the study no longer called themselves atheists afterward. The researchers were careful to say their study proves nothing about the existence of God. It simply documents what happens to a person who meets Him.
