We Are a Church
Ordained clergy. Established doctrine. A written constitution. Covenant membership. And a sacrament we receive as an act of worship.

Sacred Warrior Fellowship, Inc. calls veterans, first responders, their families, and seekers of every kind back to direct communion with God — through sacred ceremony, disciplined spiritual formation, and a fellowship that walks with people long after the room goes quiet.
We are not a clinic. We are not a retreat company. We are not a wellness center, a treatment provider, or a healthcare organization of any kind. We make no medical, psychological, or therapeutic claim, and nothing we offer is a substitute for care from a qualified provider.
We are a church, and our sacramental practice is worship.
That practice is a sincere exercise of religion, grounded in the protections of the First Amendment, the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and the Florida Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
The Kingdom of God is within
We believe in one true God, the Source of all creation and all truth. We believe no human intermediary is required for divine communion — that a person may go to God directly, and that this is what Christ pointed to when He said the Kingdom of God is within you.
We believe entheogens, received reverently and sacramentally, are religious instruments of awakening and remembrance. We believe no soul is ever broken. A person can be badly wounded, can get lost, can forget who they are — and what is forgotten can be remembered.

The life of this church is not one ceremony
Members gather regularly in The Sacred Circle, our private fellowship, for teaching, prayer, and integration — and stay connected in between.
As a Christian church we keep the Christian calendar. We observe Christmas and Easter, and we mark the seasons of the Christian faith from which this Fellowship was born.
We also hold ceremony days as sacred days. For most of our members there is one date they will never forget — the day they came home to God. Those days are kept, remembered, and honored in this fellowship the way any church honors a birth.
Ecclesiastical authority, plainly stated
Sacred Warrior Fellowship is led by ordained clergy under a written constitution. Questions of doctrine, worship, sacrament, membership, discipline, and the ordination of Stewards are decided within this church, by this church, according to its governing documents.
- Ordained clergyStewards are ordained by this church and hold sacred space in ceremony and in fellowship.
- Covenant membershipMembership requires review of and adherence to our Constitution, Statement of Faith, and Guiding Precepts.
- Pastoral discernmentEvery member is known before they come to the sacrament. Some are asked to wait.
- ConfidentialityConfidential communications made to clergy for spiritual counsel may be privileged under Florida law, and it is our practice to assert that privilege on our members' behalf. They are held apart from every other system this church runs. Privilege has limits — it belongs to the member, and mandatory reporting obligations always apply.
- Church recordsWe keep what a church keeps — governance minutes, membership rolls, ordinations, and safety protocols. What is said in spiritual counsel is not among them.
Ceremony is the beginning, not the end
What happens afterward is where the walk actually begins. Integration is not a service we deliver. It is a practice our members take up and keep.
Write it down. We ask members to keep a journal. What you are given is given to you, and over time those pages become your own record of what God has said. Years later they are still teaching.
Keep showing up. Prayer, fellowship, study, and accountability inside the Sacred Circle. Five years on, our founder is still integrating.
Then go back for someone. Members who are called may pursue ordination as Stewards and serve others walking the same road.
We put the ladder down.
Nobody climbs out of that hole and walks away. You turn around and you reach back for the next one.
It began with one warrior's awakening
Matthew “Whiz” Buckley grew up Irish Catholic in South Jersey and served at the altar as a boy. He is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. As a teenager he lost his sister Monica to a drunk driver, and years later his father died of a broken heart. He put God down and did not pick Him up again for forty years.
He flew F/A-18s in the Navy for fifteen years, graduated TOPGUN, and flew combat sorties over Iraq. He buried sixteen aviators lost in mishaps and four squadronmates who died by their own hand. When the uniform came off, the drinking and the isolation followed him into civilian life.
On the night of 21 May 2021 he sat in sacred ceremony for the first time. On his knees, God met him, washed away his sins, and told him: Matthew, I don't make imperfect things.
He founded Sacred Warrior Fellowship with his bride Suzi so that others could find the same door.
Six ordained Stewards hold this Fellowship
Four of them are women. Every ceremony is held by Stewards who have walked this road themselves.

Neither book is doctrine of this church. Both are the testimony of the person who wrote it, offered in their own voice.

Membership in this church is covenant, not purchase. It does not guarantee participation in sacramental ceremony — ceremony follows separate pastoral discernment and preparation with our Stewards.
Sacred Warrior Fellowship is a church called to remind our nation's heroes — and all those who answer — that God does not make imperfect things.
